Danang

I woke up early and jumped straight out of bed to see what the weather was like, it was brighter than the day before, I went outside to see how hot it was, probably about 20c, which was cold compared to what we had been used to.  When the others woke up we walked to the beach, about 20 mins away.  It wasnt very warm, but we decded to lay and sunbathe anyway.  We lay there for a few hours, I read my book, we didnt really talk.  We were all fed up, we decided to go back to the hotel, get changed and go out to get drunk, we said we'd decide what to do next later.  The options were to either stick to our plan and keep heading north through Vietnam, but it was only going to get colder the further north we went.  We all wanted to see Halong Bay, but would the weather be any good when we got there?  Would we actually get to see anything? Or, we could cut our losses and try to get back to Thailand or cambodia.

We only had single entry visas for Cambodia so Thailand was the only option...I was more than up for that. We walked into the town and found a bar, we ordered food, (the girls had dog burgers, I had a vegi option), and talked about what to do next.  After a few more drinks we went upstairs where there was a pool table, I cant play pool, but I gave it my best shot!  Later on we were joined by a group of Irish lads, they were travelling on motorbikes, and were loads of fun.  The said we should go to Hoi An.  They offered to take us there in the mornig on the back of there bikes...I wasnt sure about this, I didnt want to become a stitisic.  Later we were join by a group of American Soldiers, they were fun too, things got a bit roudy and somehow the three of us ended up falling out...we'd been travelling for almost 3 weeks and this was our first fall out.  We were all fed up of Vietnam, all dissapointed and all drunk...and thats how these things happen!  We got a cab back to the hotel.
